Year 1947 saw many people migrate from Pakistan to India. A great influx from Sialkot - the globally known hub for the surgical instruments came and settled in Delhi. Some pioneers formed an association of such traders in 1951. Now it is known as 'The Surgical Manufacturers & Traders Association'. SMTA - a pan India organization offers a one stop shopper's station to fulfill all requirements of Private Clinics, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Institutes and Laboratories.

Through this site, one is able to know about the member firms, their constitutions and constituent's contact details. Just with a click of the link we can visit member's site and one may also order or make queries online.
 

The members can use this platform to address their grievances and suggestions to make the trade better. These may be addressed to the fellow members, Local Administration or the Central Government.
