CBDT Extends Income Tax Return Filing Due Date for AY 2026–27 for Taxpayers Subject to Audit
The extension applies to persons referred to in Serial No. 2 of the relevant table under Explanation 2 to sub-section (1) of Section 139 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. CBDT stated that a formal order/notification regarding the extension would be issued separately.
