News channels have been reporting sale of under rated oxygen machines which are selling in guise of oxygen concentrators for the last few days in the market. These machines are basically not designed to be used as Medical Devices and their application have merely limited use.
It is an unfair practice to promote and sell these machines as emergency medical devices and extort huge amounts of money against their sale from a needy person which are proving to be a death trap instead.
Such horrendous activities by these operators only worsens our trade environment and because of such activities that our trade is getting attracted to unnecessary stringent laws and licencing like the one which we are currently fighting for.
As a suggestion, any importer or a Stockist, who is selling genuine Oxygen Concentrators should be able to produce genuine technical product information, along with Purchase bills/ Sales bills incase of any checking by government officials. Additionally, MRP stickers/ labels on the product should be clearly visible and NO sale should exceed the MRP whatsoever.
SMTA has always been an Association of human friendly businessmen, let’s all get together and fight this difficult times by offering quality products at affordable prices and try to curb blackmarketing and sale of fake equipment.
The best thing to do is by offering the right product to the end user at a reasonable price.
